The Cultural Village Foundation-Katara signed a cooperation agreement with the Arab World Institute in Paris on Wednesday with the presence of the General Manager of the Cultural Village foundation- Katara, HE Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Sulaiti, and the General Director of the Arab World Institute in Paris, Mr. Mojeb Al-Zahrani.
On this occasion, the General Manager of the Cultural Village Foundation – Katara, HE Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Sulaiti, said: "The importance of this cooperation stems from being contributes to the establishment of a permanent and systematic relationship that will strengthen the role of Katara in enriching the cultural and cognitive arena in Qatar and the Gulf region and France, noting that this agreement in line with the strategic objectives, which aspires to promote culture in all its forms and vocabulary, and make it a bridge linking the peoples and beyond local and regional boundaries to the world."
The General Manager of the Cultural Village stressed that Katara is eying the creation of a healthy environment for culture and art communities in Qatar to flourish, and where national talent is nurtured, supported and celebrated, in line with our state's master development plan which targets progress in all fields of life. The Katara's ongoing efforts to become a global cultural powerhouse, a platform for intellectuals and creativity, and a center of arts, theatre, literature and music, make us more committed than ever, to contribute to the creation of knowledgeable generations, equipped with the best education, and who are familiar with various cultures across the world.
HE the General Manager elucidated that this cooperation agreement will help develop cultural cognitive cooperation. In addition, this fruitful agreement will be a gateway for exchanging experiences and critical information through the launch of initiatives and exciting programs. The establishment of activities and events will stem from cultural activities, the consolidation of knowledge and openness to the world.
Mr. Mojeb Al-Zahrani, the General Director of the Arab World Institute in Paris added: "I'm thrilled and optimistic as this is the first agreement we have signed with this prosperous institution-Katara." He explained; "The Arab world institute in Paris was established to support cultural exchange between France and the Arab world."
