The 3rd Katara European Jazz Festival to kick off on Wednesday

Stemming from its strategy of bringing cultures together, the Cultural Village Foundation-Katara is set to host the third edition of Katara European Jazz festival 2016

​in partnership with the embassies of France, Spain, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy along with the embassies of Portugal, Poland, and Bulgaria which are participating for the first time on Wednesday. 

The third edition of Katara European Jazz Festival will bring to Doha one jazz group representing each of the participating countries, comprising various evening events performed by Jazz musicians as well as several workshops that will occur at Qatar Music Academy starting 10 am.

The third edition of the popular annual event Katara European Jazz festival will continue until the 7th of the same month at building 5 in the Cultural Village Foundation-Katara.

It is noteworthy, that the bands that will perform throughout the festival will include: "Ezza" from France, followed by an Italian band: "The Golden Circle Quartet" scheduled to perform on the second of November. Portuguese performers: "Trio Mario Laginha" are scheduled to perform on the third of November. In addition, a German band: "Three fall", followed by Bulgarian performers "Yildiz Ibrahimova Quartet" are both scheduled to perform on the fourth of the same month.

The festival will continue with significant participation of a Spanish band "Radio Pesquera", and an Austrian band "Namby Pamby Boy" scheduled to perform on the fifth of November, followed by Swiss performers "Simon Wyrsch Quartet" scheduled to perform on the sixth of November, and finally Polish performers: "Atom String Quartet" to conclude the third edition of Katara European Jazz Festival on the seventh of November. 

The Katara European Jazz Festival 2016 is jointly organized by ten European embassies with the cooperation of the Cultural Village Foundation- Katara. Supporting sectors include: Qatar Airways, "Official Airline" for the event, Qatar Music Academy, and Fnac Qatar (Darwish Holding).

Hailing the role of Cultural Village Foundation-Katara at exerting the utmost efforts at hosting and organizing such a grand event that had attracted a big turnout of people from all walks of life during the last two editions.
