organized on the sideline of Katara Fifth traditional Dhow festival that concludes on the 21st of last month.
This edition of contests have witnessed significant participation of artists and photographers of different nationalities and age categories.
The honoring ceremony in which ten winners announced, held with the presence of the general manager of the cultural village foundation-Katara, HE. Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim al Sulaiti.
Addressing attendees the general manager of Katara, said, "We are really pleased to witness the progressive leap of the artistic movement that paves the way for aggravating the numbers of the Qatari and Arabic and international artists to ta display their creative works and display their best contributions through distinctive paintings and photographs."
The general Manager of the Cultural Village exuded gratitude and appreciation for all the participating artists at the contest of photography and plastic arts for their creative and talented touches that reflect a glorious image of Qatari history.
The first prize of photography that grabbed of 140 participants won by Shiras Abdullah with an amount of Qr. 50,000, while Ahmad Fahad al Khulaifi ranked second with Qr.40.000 and Mohammad Najib Nasser was in the third position with Qr. 30.000.
As for the contest of the plastic arts won by Hazim Hijazi Ismail won an amount of Qr.100.000, and Sagher ThodoKayel ranked second with Qr.50.000 and the Ahmad Noh al Zahad won the third prize with Qr.30.000.
