Katara's publications of the winning novels of Katara Prize for Arabic Novel, including English and French translated copies and publications of the Qatari novelists; Shama Al-Kuwari and Ahmad AbdulMalek will be distributed to readers for free.
Creative writing workshop is scheduled to start at Katara's pavilion on the second day of the book expo (Thursday) from 5:00-6:30 pm, and will be instructed by the renowned Sudanese writer; Dr. Amir Tag Al-Sir in which participants will acquire the demanded skills for Arabic novel writing.
The book fair will witness the presence of five awarded writers from the first edition of Katara prize for Arabic Novel from the non-published novels category that will sign their own publications throughout the book fair. As well as, daily contests that consist of an online quiz about the Arabic novel.
The Twenty-seventh edition of Doha International Book Fair, was launched on Wednesday under the slogan: "Read". This year's edition of the International book fair comprises a participation of 490 publishing publications from 33 different countries presenting more than 104,000 books, and 15,219 new titles released this year.
