His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the President and Chairman of the Board of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH), has visited on Wednesday the Cultural Village Foundation-Katara. Saudi Prince along with HE. Mohammed bin Said al Mahri, the director general of the National Council of Tourism & Antiquities in the United Arab Emirates, was received by the General Manager of the Cultural Village Foundation-Katara, HE. Dr. Khlaid bin Ibrahim al Sulaiti.
The visit to the Cultural Village was conducted on the sideline of an official visit by the Saudi Prince who led the delegation of the Kingdom of the Saudi Arabia during the second session of the GCC Tourism Ministers recently held in Doha.
While getting a glimpse on the facilities and upcoming projects of the Cultural village, Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud said: "Cultural Village is a distinctive cultural and touristy edifice that aligned to the keenness of the state of Qatar enrich heritage and culture."
The Saudi Prince has praised the competent officials in the Cultural village for organizing cultural events that turned Qatar into the capital of Culture in the GCC.
For his part, the General Manager of the Cultural Village Foundation-Katara, said: "Katara is
Perceived as a touristy destination in Qatar and the GCC countries as it attracts a significant numbers of visitors from the GCC countries all over the years specifically in the events of Hala Hal Qatar, Katara Traditional Dhow Festival and the festivals of Eid al Fitr and al Adha."
In the conclusion of their visit, His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud along with HE. Mohammed bin Said Al-Mahri received a memorable shield from HE. Dr. Khlaid bin Ibrahim al Sulaiti.
